Skin peels are a popular way to treat your skin and rejuvenate your appearance. Our aestheticians are skilled in a number of different types of peels, as this definitely is not a "one size fits all" technique. Different formulas and application times will be tailored specifically for your type of skin and problem areas. The treatment will leave you looking great and feeing refreshed. As with many other "no down time" skin rejuvenation techniques, a series of treatments may be required to achieve the desired effect.

How it works
Once we have assessed your problem areas, a treatment program will be developed. The peels are performed in our office by our skilled and experienced aestheticians in our treatment rooms. While you relax in this spa-like environment, your specifically selected peel formula will be used to rejuvenate your skin.

In most cases, you can return to normal activities right away although your skin may be somewhat red, especially if the peel is relatively deep. In addition to the use of sunscreen and avoidance of strong sun exposure, we will give you additional instructions on how to care for your skin after treatment to maximizes your results.

While you will likely see some improvement after a single treatment, we may recommend a series of treatments scheduled a few weeks apart for maximum benefit.

In addition to being a great stand-alone treatment it also is an excellent addition to other procedures, both surgical and non-surgical, that will improve your overall appearance and result.

Types of peels we use
Illumnize Peel® is SkinMedica's gentlest peel. With minimal to no peeling, patients will experience brighter and tighter skin instantly. In addition, patients will be privy to the latest skin care has to offer, with a new generation of Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (Mandelic Acid and Malic Acid) that work in combination with Phytic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and Resorcinol. The overall effect creates a youthful glow that patients love. This treatment is non-invasive and improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun-damage and pigmentary irregularities. This peel is great for those with upcoming events!

Vitalize Peel® Though more powerful than SkinMedica's Illuminize Peel, the Vitalize Peel requires minimal downtime for those individuals who are always on-the-go. The blend of Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA), Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHA), and Resorcinol, as well as the application of Retinoic Acid are perfect for patients who have mild to moderate skin impurities. This can include sun-damage, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentary irregularities, acne and acne scarring. Results are visible after only one treatment, with significant results after 3-6 treatments.

Rejuvenize Peel® The final peel in SkinMedica's line is the Rejuvenize Peel. The most potent of the three peels, it permeates the deeper layers of the epidermis to create controlled exfoliation of the skin. With the combination of Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA), Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHA), Resorcinol, and Retinoic Acid, it is indicated for those patients with moderate to severe lines and wrinkles, sun-damage, pigmentary irregularities, acne and acne scarring. This peel helps to minimize years of damage, revealing skin's true beauty.
